1. Vocabulary - Health: Accidents and Emergencies

VOCABULARY
Sprain	It is an injure without fracture and this produces several pain, caused by the ligament being stretched beyond its own capacity.
First aid kit	It is a collection of supplies and equipment for use in giving firs aid.
Crutches	It is a mobility aid that transfers weight from the legs to the upper body.
Plaster	It is a material used for coating wall or medical things that is mixed with water to form a paste when used.
Sling	A bandage to support an injured arm.
(Plaster) Cast	It is used as a support for broken bones; a bandage impregnated with plaster is moistened and the involved around the damaged broken bone.
Bruise	It is also called contusion, is a type of hematoma, a bruise is always caused by internal bleeding into the interstitial tissues which does not break through the skin, usually initiated by blunt trauma.
Faint	Also called syncope is a term for fainting.
Stitches	It is used by doctors and surgeons to hold tissue together.
Scar	It is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after injury. A scar results from the biological process of wound repair in the skin and others tissues of the body.
Blood donor	It occurs when a person voluntarily has blood drawn and used for transfusions.

2. Second Week

My Cousin Wedding and my first visit to Chicago

It occurs in September 2011, my lovely cousin was getting married. His name is Israel. His wedding was in Chicago, and I lived in Spain. I had never been in Chicago before, although my family has lived in Chicago a long time, almost forty years ago.   That was a big opportunity to visit my family and to know Chicago.  Then I came to Chicago for the first time.   The first thing that I did was to visit the Downtown in the night as soon as my uncle picked up me in the airport. That was amazing! I was really tired because I had jet lag.   I visited all my family and everybody was preparing for my cousin's wedding. But that travel meant to me different things because I did not know all my family, I have never been in Chicago, my birthday was close and of course, my cousin was getting married.   I have two aunts and one uncle; my family wanted me to visit each their houses and I did it. My Sister came to Chicago as well; I had not seen in the last three years ago, I was really excited because I wished to see her.   During the wedding, we shared all the time; I met my new nieces and my nephew. They were my aunts, my uncle, my nieces, my nephew and my sister. It was like a dream to me.   My uncle was the clergyman, he directed the wedding, this was really special to my cousin and my uncle because it was the first wedding of the family that my uncle had done.   During the party, my sister, who is a singer, sang in this special event, my cousin was really happy. The last day, my uncle and my aunt celebrated my birthday.   Those were only five days, but I will remember them as if they have been much more. I had never thought that I could live in Chicago now.

1. Weed One 

Tell about a terrifying experience that you had when you were young

It occurred in 2004 when I lived in Spain. I studied in the afternoon and I was each  morning in my home. Approximately one week during the morning, a man touched the principal bell of my building where I lived. I answered the handset from my apartment such as my neighbor, and a man told us “I am who repaired the elevator!”, and I felt afraid about his voice… But this situation repeated every day and I never opened the door, but my neighbor, who was an older women, she always answered. The next week, the bell of my building didn’t sound more. I thought, “The problem with the elevator is already solved” and I forgot this situation. One day, I was showing a program in TV called “Occurred in Madrid”, that was a special program the real history in the city, and the woman was talking about a man that touched the door of the building and he say “I am who repaired the elevator” and if someone woman answered and she was alone in home, he asked her to open the door and he entered in the building, disconnected the light where the women lived and then he touched the door of her apartment to enter inside. Then, the men robbed in her home. When I saw that history, I remembered that man who touched in my building some week ago and I felt afraid again. But I forgot this. Two day later, I found my neighbor in the door of my building, she was an older woman and I told her hello and she told me that I needed to take care because was dangerous, then I remembered that this history and the television program and I told her about my complete history… That was my surprise, the woman of the television program was my neighbor!!!!, she told me that she called to this program called “Occurred in Madrid” and told them her history because she wanted to avoid repeat the same history with others people. I felt really afraid, because I asked me: What could have happened if I had opened the door that day? …
